I posted a query similar to this one to net.space a long time ago but received nary a response. Now that this new group exists, I'll try again. All I'm looking for is a way to generate the kind of numbers found in an ephemeris of planetary positions. I know it's not a simple matter to do this, but I'm not necessarily looking for the same precision that the US Naval Observatory is able to attain. Still, I'd like something more accurate than two-body approximations. Can anyone give me a hand? I'm not picky and will be happy with just about any useful response (including pointers to references). Mail replies to one of the addresses below--and thanks. -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Greg Paris | decvax!brunix!rayssd!gmp (slow; easy) Raytheon Sub.
