kaufman@uiucdcs.UUCP (10/31/84)

Didja ever notice there was never a crook an Batman called the Beaver? If
so, Bruce Wayne could have looked at Dick Grayson and said:
"Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver."

What? Get that rototiller away from me!

I think you're thinking of the yellow circle around the bat on his chest,
but I think that was added a few years BEFORE the show started.

Just because something is obvious doesn't mean that it's true.

I agree that Jason Todd, the new Robin, is not relevant, but it is interesting
to note that Bruce Wayne is attempting to legally adopt him. He never
even considered, I believe, adopting Dick.

The names of Batman and Robin were the same on TV as they were in the
comics. This isn't always true. The Hulk, for instance... What was his
name on TV? All I remember is that it wasn't Bruce Banner, which is
the comics version.

The term DC, referring to National Periodicals, originally came from
Detective Comics, their first publication. It has since been used to
stand for all sorts of things -- Dollar Comics, for example -- I'll
have to go home and look some of them up.

I don't know whether National Periodicals existed when DC started, or
whether it later bought the original company out.

They use David Bruce Banner (or is it Bruce David Banner). The show stunk.
What was different was that in the comics the change in to the HULK is
initiated by a increase in Banner's pulse rate. In the TV show it is
anger that triggers it. A slight differenece.
