My wife and I are going to be visiting the Islands later this
month, March 13-27. We will be on Hawaii for the first six days, then
Molokai, then Oahu.
I hope that this isn't an imposition, but I would just love
to be able to get some sort of tour of the observatories on Mauna Loa
on Hawaii. I know that they are usually not open for tourists, but
I was hoping that it might be possible if I could make contact with the
right person. I also figure that they (the proprietors of the observatories)
surely must "live" on the Usenet, soo....if you know anyone up there,
could you forward this message to them?
