@
I would appreciate having the rest of the lyrics to:

First we had the bomb, but that was good,
Since we love Peace and Brotherhood.
	    --Chorus ("Who's next?"*2)--
Then Russia got the bomb, but thats OK,
Since the Balance of Power's maintained that way.
	    --Chorus--

	Thanks,

This is a Tom Lehrer tune, I think from his album "That Was the Year That Was".
Sounds like:

First we had the bomb, and that was good,
'cause we love peace and Motherhood,
Then Russia got the bomb but that's okay,
'cause the balance of power's maintained that way.
	  Who's next...
Then France got the bomb, but don't you grieve,
'cause they're on our side, I believe,
Then China got the bomb but have no fears,
'cause they can't wipe us out for at least five years.
	 Who's next...
	Egypt's gonna get one too,
	Just to use on you-know-who.
	Sooooo,
	Israel's getting tense,
	Wants one in self-defense.
"The Lord is our shepard," says the psalm,
But just in case - we wanna get a bomb.

(Two more verses - don't recall the exact words, however).

I think the last verse goes:

Now, Luxembourg is next to go,
	and, who knows, maybe Monaco?
We'll try to stay serene and calm...
	when AAAAAAAAALABAMA gets the bomb,
	Who's next, who's next, who's next?...
	WHO'S NEXT?!

Alright, alright. This is like a jigsaw puzzle. Here's the remaining verse,
coming after Egypt/Israel and before Luxembourg/Alabama:

Then Indonesia claimed that they
Were gonna get one any day.
South Africa wants two, that's right!
One for the blacks and one for the whites.

To the best of my recollection, the last line of that particular
ditty goes,
"We'll try to stay serene and calm...
     ...when Alabama gets the bomb."
(Not that I'd like to see it in the hands of Tallahassee, either. :-) )

I haven't seen anyone respond to this request, but then we don't
always get all the news, do we?

Anyway, this is from some very old memory, so I can't guarantee it.

First we had the bomb, but that was good,
Cause we loved peace and motherhood.
Then Russia got the bomb, but that's O.K.,
The balance of power's maintained that way.

Who's next?

Then France got the bomb, but don't you grieve,
Cause they're on our side...I believe.
Then China got the bomb, but have no fears,
They can't wipe us out for at least five years.

Who's next?

Then Indonesia claimed that they
Were going to get one any day.
South Africa wants two, that's right,
One for the black and one for the white.

Who's next?

Egypt's going to get one, too,
Just to use on you know who.
Israel's getting tense, want's one in self defense,
The Lord's our Shepard says the Sahm (sp?),
But just in case, we better get a bomb.

Who's next?

Old Luxembourg is next to go.
And maybe even Monaco.
We'll try to stay serene and calm
When *ALABAMA* gets the bomb.

Who's next?...Who's next?...WHO'S NEXT?
*WHO'S NEXT?*

	That's

The Lord's our shepherd, says the Psalm

-- 23rd Psalm, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he maketh
me to lie down in green pastures" etc. etc.
