ag4@pucc-h (Angus Greiswald the fourth) (01/24/85)
I was getting ready to post this about a month ago, but allofasudden, my file was sucked into a time warp, and spat back out just now (I have a great deal on WaferVaxen for only $24.95 each for for every person who believed that -- just think, your very own Vax with Unix (tm) on a chip!). Anyway (they say she comes on a pale horse, but I'm sure I hear a train), on with the results of the famous Genesis poll! _The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway_ Not too many dissenters here, The Lamb is *the* Genesis album to buy if you are mild-to-heavily into the 'progressive' or 'artsy' music genre. I personally don't like the above ''ed terms myself, but most people seem to understand what they mean. Those that dissented, felt it was too long, or that they overreached themselves, or were just plain confused by it. I'll have a little more to say about The Lamb in a later posting, perhaps I can shed a little light on the album. HOWEVER, _Foxtrot_ Pulls in at a close second. I hadn't bought this album for reasons unexplainable at this time. Evidently I was making a mistake; don't overlook this album just because it looks like a weird import (yes, that's the only way you can get it, unless you happen to stumble across the out-of-print double album Foxtrot/Nursery Chryme). While I'm thinking about, if anyone out there lives in a town where they don't believe in importing or special orders, I can get it for you, no problem. Another 'Don't Overlook:' _Seconds Out_ Don't overlook this album just because it's live and contains no original tunes (like I did). This is a great live album. I won't go into too much detail here, because I want those who are really interested to send in for a copy of the responses I got because they are excellant. Just drop me a note at: -- "I'm gonna hurl myself against the wall, 'cause I'd rather feel bad than not feel anything at all!"
