GMS@psuvm.BITNET (08/05/85)
I have two astronomy programs that run on the IBM-PC or close compatibles with graphics displays. They are both distributed under the FREEWARE concept, so I am allowed (and willing) to share them with any interested persons. However I do not have a reliable method (yet) of converting the files and posting them to net.sources. So in the meantime you can send me a floppy (with postage) and I'll copy them for you. A list follows: --------------- MOONBEAM is a program that will determine the position, phase and illumination of the Moon. It will optionally plot the moon on a skymap drawn from the Yale Catelog of Bright Stars. SKYPLOT will produce a horizon plot of the sky as seen from any point on Earth during the period 1-Jan-1975 to 31-Dec-2000. Plotted (if visible at that time) are the Sun, Moon, all Planets, as many stars as are in its database and other user-supplied objects. Since both programs have a number of files, one floppy will be required for each. Gerry Santoro 148 W. Hamilton Ave. State College, PA 16801 . . . !psuvax1!santoro . . . !psuvax1!psuvm.bitnet!gms
