I have been meaning to buy a nice telescope since I was very young, but only now that I've been out of school for a few years can I think about it. I am most interested in Cassegranian reflectors since I live close to Boston, and hence portability to the country is important. A long time ago I wanted to buy a Questar, which was beautifully built but ridiculously expensive: ~$1200 for the baseline 3.5" model in 1970. Does anybody on the list own one, or know if they are still being made? Who, aside from Questar and Celestron, make good small to medium sized (3"-8") Cassegranians? Thanks, John
