I am planning a trip south to view Halley's Comet after perihelion. I have been told that perigee is on April 11, is this also the best time to see the comet? When is it farthest north? It seems to me that how far north it is will be of greater importance than how close it is, but I am not sure. Any help you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
