Forgive me if this one was posted once long ago, but when I finished
reading backlogged news after coming back from a five-day vacation, I
thought of the following takeoff from an old Alka-Seltzer commercial:
USENET: I can't believe I read the WHO-O-O-OLE THING!!

I think I've finally found the right Usenet Slogan. With apologies to
spaf, chuq, and pooh, who've seen it....
USENET --- the final frontier....

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?wapd@houxj.UUCP (Bill Dietrich) (11/29/84)
I can't resist adding to the noise ... In the vein of "a million monkeys on a million typewriters will eventually produce Shakespeare's works", I propose a Usenet slogan of "a million monkeys on a million typewriters will immediately produce Usenet". Or how about "Usenet: it's not a job, it's not an adventure, it's 77 million articles a month". Bill Dietrich houxj!wapd
