On the night of December 7th-8th, 1985, people living south of Trenton, New Jersey, and North of Brazil, will have a chance to see a crescent moon pass in front of Mars. This will occur at about 3:45 AM Eastern Standard time. People in the Bahamas will get the best view. People as far west as Atlanta, or Louisville, Ky, will miss it because the moon will not rise until after Mars is already behind it.
