I am trying to make the connection between a known Julian day number (today, say) and the advertised "day 0", Jan 1 4713 BC. That is, starting from today, what considerations are necessary when counting down through all the years to 4713 BC? Do I skip the year 0? What about 1752, the year of the great calendar switch (355 days?)? Do BC leap years work the same way as AD years (e.g. 4,8,12,... BC = 366 days)? I don't need source code for any algorithms, just the info. Thanks! -- Jeff Percival ...!uwvax!uwmacc!jwp
