On 1 Jan -------- Spacecraft distance to Uranus: 29,517,959 km Heliocentric speed: 17.881 km/sec [speed w.r.t. the sun] At closest approach (9:58am Pacific Stnd Time, 24 Jan) -------------------- [ add 2 hrs 45 mins. to get the time the signal arrives at earth] Distance to center of the planet: 107,079 km Distance to cloud tops: 81,500 km Heliocentric speed: 21.987 km/sec speed of spacecraft w.r.t. Uranus: 15 km/sec
