I made a phone call and got a strange recording. It sounded like the same voice who does "The number you have reached is not in service..." The recording said : "This number is not on the network. 2-eye-eye." Does anybody know what this means? Please mail since this probably isn't of general interest. -- Carol Preston {sri-unix, amd, hpda, harpo, ihnp4, allegra}!fortune!preston (415) 594-2891 Fortune Systems, 101 Twin Dolphin Pkwy, Redwood Shores, CA 94065

Now, if it were "Eye-eye-eye", I would assume Captain Hook... "They dared to call me mad! ME! HA! HA! HA!...." Moriarty, aka Jeff Meyer John Fluke Mfg. Co., Inc. Were you using something like MCI ? I've gotten similar messages when trying to call the Worcester, Mass. income tax office. I could never get through with MCI... always got a message like that. When I finally gave up and went with a standard Bell connection, it worked fine.
