This is a set of albums that, as a collector, I have not been able to find for two years or more. Can anybody help out there on the net? If you have these LPs (and are willing to sell/trade) or if you know stores that might have them, PLEASE let me know. I travel fairly often to, or have contacts in, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Washington. I live in the NYC area. I will also do mail order business. Re-issues are fine, it's the music I want. However, the record should be in no less than very good shape. So without further ado: Ornette Coleman - To whom who keeps a record (Atlantic Japan) Ida Cox - Hard Time Blues (Fontana - this is the European release label) Duke Ellington - The Ellington Era Volume 1, 1927-1940 (Columbia France) Milt Hinton - Here Swings the Judge (Famous Door, with Ben Webster) Johnny Hodges - Cue for Saxophone (Vocalion, with Billy Strayhorn) Charles Mingus - Stormy Weather (Candid) [There is also an LP whose name I don't know, with music by Mingus and poetry by Langston Hughes] Oliver Nelson - A Dream Deferred (Flying Dutchman) Cecil Taylor - Spring of Two Blue Jays (Unit Core) Charles Tolliver - Live at Slugs Volume *2* (Strata East) Jimmy Witherspoon - At the Renaissance (Ember, with G. Mulligan, B. Webster) Ray Charles - Ray Charles and Betty Carter (ABC); also The Greatest (ATlantic) King Curtis - Live at Fillmore West (Atco) Bo Diddley - Have Guitar will Travel Dr John - Gris Gris; also Gumbo (both Atco) Fats Domino - Cooking with Fats (Imperial) Slim Harpo - He Knew the Blues (there are 3 LPs with that name. I want the one with "King Bee") John Lee Hooker - It serves you right to suffer (Impulse) Lightnin' Hopkins - The Rooster Crowed in England Mahalia Jackson - 1911- 1972 Charley Patton - The founder of the Delta Blues (Yazoo) The Persuasions - Chirpin' (Elektra) Soul Stirrers - The SOul stirrers featuring Sam Cooke (Specialty) Swamp Dogg - Total Destruction to your mind Muddy Waters - Sail On (Chess) Junior Wells - Hoodoo Man Blues (Delmark) Howlin' Wolf - Howlin' Wolf (Chess; this is the [in]famous Rocking Chair LP) Well That's it folks.
