[this beeth the regulation non-blank line] Actually, I watched the Kennedy movie on NBC and taped TDA for later viewing. Later has not arrived yet and, judging from the comments in this newsgroup, it probably never will. It appears this much-hyped film was a bust, as probably expected by most of us, if only deep down in the cynical recesses of our minds. Perhaps I'll watch just the nuclear pyrotechnics (I'm a special effects buff) and the panel discussion before returning the tape to the "erasable" stack; perhaps I'll free up the tape without watching anything. Once again we have an example of how the networks can take a subject of global impact, affecting the future livability of the WHOLE RUDDY PLANET, and turning it into a typical disaster film. Pander, pander to the masses, oh purveyors of video pap! No sane person wants nuclear war (I hope), but there is always the *insane* person who rises to a position of power, and there is always Murphy. I've said this before and gotten some very strange reactions: I sincerely hope that there will never be a nuclear attack, but if I get sufficient warning of incoming missiles, I'm going to make every effort to get directly *under* one of 'em. Never feel a thing. Well, it's almost 1 A.M., I'm tired, and I have a bad attitude, anyway. Happy Thanksgiving and remember, "This is the last day of your life, so far" John (I'm *SO* depressed) Opalko
