Like most of you, I too did not think much of the movie. As a movie
it was lousy. As far as presenting information I thought it was inaccurate
in general, but then it was only BASED ON FACT, which usually means FICTION.
It seemed to me that ABC was showing everyone that they knew how to play the
ratings game, what with ALL THE HYPE that the show received prior to its
airing it's no surprise that so many watched it. (And that so many were
disappointed...) The discussion afterwards wasn't bad though. But this
is not why I decided to finally post an article...
When that fireworks company went off in New York and made a mess of
things, a local news team was on the spot getting comments from eye witnesses
and one of them said "I thought I was in a scene from The Day After..." I
don't think this guy got the message.
