I have been tracing my pedigree for the past few years, and am interested in finding anyone else with any information I can use. I also collect genealogical data for families close to my ancestors. (Note: there are two "types" of genealogical searches. A pedigree is a list of one's ancestors and a genealogy is a list of one's descendants.) I am also willing to provide any of the information I have collected. I have included a list of the surnames I have identified for my ancestors. I have only listed one spelling for all but one name: Dana and Dawney is the same family. If you think we have any name in common, let me know and I'll give some more detail so we can check it out. My family has lived in the midwest for the Late 19th and early 20th century and in New England and Virginia before that.
