Attempting a stab in the dark here. Do any of you know of the name BOREN, whether in your family or a friend? I've traced us back to ~1850 in Missouri (our ancestor, James W. Boren, emigrated from Tennessee then as a young man). Evidently we have connections in Texas, but I don't know who, when, or where. I've temporarily given up on finding James' parents, but I'd still like to know what the name means and which country it came from. (It's probably really something like Baren, Bowren, or Boring).
