There hasn't been much activity on this newsgroup, but I am curious about my name. I know that John McNamee is out there somewhere and I hope he reads this. I've tried sending to his sight, but our mailer and my typing don't work well in tandem. Anyways, I would like to get some info on the family cause pop's a grade AA asshole and I'd like to just write him out of history, but I can't and I did get my name from him. I've heard tell it means "Son of the House of Mee" Any Mee's out there like to refute that? Have there been any notable McNamees in history? I recall one Judge out in Ohio I believe who made a name for himself (no pun intended :-). At any rate, where are we from?? How did we get here? Is there a trend in professions in our families? Lots of lawyers or military men or plumbers or actors or architects or hackers or what?
