Polish research - You didn't give your grandmother's name so we could
check it out but you should get a hold of the "Eastern and
Central European Genealogist" publication. If you give me a name
I will check it. We have indexed it last 3 years issues.
Barnes, Jim - As you might suspect, there are lots of Barnes folks around.
Since you are looking for that family in Ohio, suggest you look in
these issues of the Ohio Genealogical Society publication. They
have queries from folks looking for Barnes: April 1985, May 1985.
On the chance you had relatives in adjoining states, check into the
Iowa Genealogical Society for Jun and Sep 1985, the Iowa Gen Society
that should be Indiana Hist Soc Aug 1985. We also have three ROOTs
callers working on the Barnes family, Wayne Shepard, Mr. Farr, and
       Ken Madl.

Collosky (slavic) - closest we could get are these from the Eastern Centl Euro
Geneal. in 1980 two queries for Chilewski and in 1981 one for a
Cholochwost. Our indexes are soundexed and those are the closest
       "soundalikes" we have.
Shanley - nothing.
Hald/Oertel - nothing.
Riley - A Riley surname query appears in Ohio Gen Soc August 1985 and Mary
Badger on ROOTS is also working on that family line. I posted your
       father's address to Mary.
Williams - lots of 'em in Ohio. At least one Williams surname query appears
in the Ohio Gen Soc publication for Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug,
       Sep, Oct, and Jan.
Titus - Two possible connections for you. New York Bio and Genealo Soc for
Jan 85 and the New England Hist Gen Soc Jun 85. Since that name doesnt
appear often you might want to also check Iowa Gen Soc Jun and Sep 85
for some Titus clan that moved West.
Wallace - The Ohio Gen Soc for May and Jun 85 has something of interest to
you. The "De Spencer" -Spencer family association newsletter also has
a Wallace query. Since you are interested in Ohio, Im passing your
message onto Mary Badger as well. She is working on Wallace in Ohio.
DeGinsey/Wales - an interesting challenge. Any change it could be DeJersey?
If so check New Eng Hist Gen Soct Jun 85.
Poland/Jewish contact - Have you tried the Jewish National Genealogical
Society? or one of its local chapters? They might be able to steer you
      in the right direction.
