While going through a pedigree chart of my Norwegian ancestors, I hit upon an unusual entry. Virtually all of the people up to twelve generations back are Norwegian or (rarely) Danish. One branch, however, lists as its oldest member one Sebastian With, born in 1591 in London, emigrated to Norway (near Trondheim) and married into a Norwegian family. His son was named Mikkel Sebastiansen With. If his name follows the general pattern of Norwegian naming, Sebastian With's father was probably named Mikkel (or Michael). Spelling being what it was back then With might have been Wythe or something similar. Any hints on where I go from here to follow up on Sebastian With in England? Bob Warren cbosgd!rew
