[line eater fodder] I am doing genealogical research on Catherine Murday who came from Scotland with her family in the early 1890's. Her father's name was Maitland. They were from Newcastle on Tyne (although her mother was Irish) and moved to New Straitsville, Ohio where Maitland was a coal miner. (Maitland was following his older brother Edward.) In adddition, I have been doing research on Lancelot Tierney. He came from Ireland and became a policeman in New York. He married Mary Walsh (from New Orleans) and together they had four children. (One of them became a Supreme Court Justice for the state of New York and another was the parent or grandparent of Jean Tierney.) I would appreciate any information on the above.
