--- CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION The Third Annual Uniforum Conference and Trade Show Anaheim Convention Center Anaheim, California "The UNIX February 4-7, 1986 Connections" Sponsored by: /usr/group Uniforum, the International Conference of UNIX Users, has established itself as the premier UNIX conference/trade show. Both Uniforum 1984 in Washington, D.C. and Uniforum 1985 at the Infomart in Dallas provided unlimited opportunities for users, vendors, buyers, software and hardware developers, and newcomers to interact and exchange information in a highly concentrated UNIX-specific forum. The conference theme for Uniforum 1986 -- "The UNIX Connections" -- focuses on the bridge that UNIX provides for users to talk across diverse applications running a full spectrum of hardware architectures. The program targets a range of interests -- from software development engineers to VLSI designers to data systems managers, and from PCs to supercomputers. Day-long tutorials will present intensive material on specific subjects in UNIX, while the conference sessions will present the latest technical and marketing developments in the evolving UNIX industry. CALL FOR PAPERS Proposals for papers and panel sessions are solicited from the UNIX community at large, including but not limited to: market trends, networking and distributed UNIX, artificial intelligence/expert systems, user interfaces/graphics/windowing, standards and application software. To submit an abstract or proposal: 1. Technical papers -- abstracts for papers must be typewritten and should focus on new and current material. Abstracts will be reviewed by the 1986 Uniforum Program Committee; accepted papers will be published in a proceedings document. 2.
