OK, OK! I confess! I didn't put enough thought into the list of words that I claimed were the longest without repeats. This is what happens when you trust on-line dictionaries to contain every word in English. To those who pointed out that `ambidextrously' is longer than any of the words I gave, you're right, I should have caught that... To those who pointed out that 'uncopyrightable' is longer still, how about 'uncopyrightables'? (16 letters) These, of course, are all shorter than 'vodkathumbscrewingly'. Or how about 'abcdefgjklmnopqrtuvwxyz-ish' (26 letters)- the property posessed by words not containing the letters 'I', 'S' or 'H'. Steve Hayman watmath!watcgl!sahayman
