For our American readers: What is the next integer in the sequence
given below? What is the ordering principle?

            8
8,000,000,000
8,000,000,008
8,000,000,800
8,000,000,808
8,000,000,818
8,000,000,880
8,000,000,888
8,000,000,885

?????????????

Regarding the sequence in Richard Harter's puzzle (the answer to which
I will not give):

> For our American readers: What is the next integer in the sequence
> given below? What is the ordering principle?
>
> 8
> 8,000,000,000
> 8,000,000,008
> 8,000,000,800
> 8,000,000,808
> 8,000,000,818
> 8,000,000,880
> 8,000,000,888
> 8,000,000,885
> ?????????????

The ordering rule describes an infinite sequence, yet it has a LAST
element. What is the last element??
