Announcing: The first net-wide Puzzler's Puzzle Quiz. Each week a new puzzle will be posted to the net. Anyone is eligible to mail the puzzler a response to the puzzle. These people will be awarded points based on how they answered the question. This will continue week after week. The person with the highest point total after a certain number of weeks, (not yet decided upon) will win the Quiz and will be named the Puzzler of the Year and awarded the personal satisfaction of being the best. There are a few basic rules as follows: 1. No answer may posted to the net except by the Puzzler himself. Penalty: That question is declared void (no points given) and the offender can not answer the next five (5) puzzles. 2. If you arrived at your answer by looking at answers in quiz books please specify when you reply. You will still get a few points but not as much as someone who answers correctly on their own. The puzzles will vary in difficulty and will range from logical to mathematical to tricky. Rule number on is very important and if it is violated too often the Quiz will be abolished. The answer to each quiz will be given in the next weeks puzzle. The persons who answered correctly will also be posted at that time. A ranking of people who have responded will to puzzles will be posted monthly. Mail all responses to {ihnp4,allegra,seismo,decvax,ucbvax,mcvax,}!ariel!djm or simply respond to the question with the r key. A summary of how scoring will be done will be posted next week along with the length of the Puzzler's Puzzling Puzzle Quiz. The Puzzler --

Oh, you mean the glass was full (how did they drag it across half the desert without spilling a drop or having it evaporate ?-)
