The following word puzzle used to really be a dandy years ago before
the advent of grep /usr/dict/words. If you take it in that spirit and try
to solve without grepping, I think you'll find it to be a real challenge.
The puzzle is to find a word in the English language that contains
the following letters in sequence. An example is TICU occurs in the word
fisTICUffs. Most of the following 30 letter-strings are unique. If more
than 1 solution is known, the number of solutions appears in parentheses
after the letter-string. Some strings _cannot_ be found in /usr/dict/words!
Also, no proper nouns, adjectives, etc. are allowed.
All known solutions (at least to me) will be posted in a couple of
weeks in rot13 format. At that time I would be interested in whether any
new solutions were found by netpuzzlers.
