According to the UNIX dictionary, there are only three words containing the letters "gry": angry gryphon hungry It is rumored that this dictionary contains a good portion of the entire language- I wonder if the riddle wasn't quite honest? I suspect that there are no more words ending in -gry. The game Life has been well covered in Scientific American for many years, especially in the Mathematical Games and Computer Recreations columns. I have implementations for Apple and Mac computers, and one in Pascal that should work on any computer (all public domain) if anyone's interested in playing with Life on their computer. ....Ranjit
