A couple months ago I remember seeing that someone had posted that old old puzzle, "Which weighs more, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers?" A fun variation on this problem just occurred to me: Which weighs more, a kilogram of gold or a kilogram of corned beef hash? Answers without explanations get no credit. You may assume that both weighings take place in an ordinary cow barn at sea level on planet Earth. Either a spring or a balance scale may be used, but if a spring scale is used, it must have a picture of Mickey Mouse on it.
