Yes, the fourth stanza is sometimes sung publicly, but hardly ever the second and third. Who wants to hear lines like "Their blood hath washed out their foul footsteps' pollution"? If you ask me, the whole poem is a hack. By the way, I always thought "The Gloom of the Grave" referred to the Puritans. ... -- Col. G. L.
