   What color is freon?  Is it opaque?

Freon is clear and transparent.

Every automobile with air conditioning has a window on the accumulator
(a small metal tank) for judgig fluid level.  If there are bubbles,
you need recharging. If there are no bubbles, the liquid looks like
water.
