Here are all the responses I've received so far to my question "Where is
Modula-2 being taught?". Thanks, John Ogilvie (utah-cs)
Incidentally, it will also be taught in an undergrad programming languages
survey class her this quarter, if they don't run out of time.

Modula-2 is "taught" in a seminar/class here on
machine architecture that is primarily the lillith(sp)
machine. We have a fairly good relationship with
both the Modula Research Institute and Diser.

We use Modula-2 as a vehicle for teaching systems programming.
Our students write small operating systems in M2 and run them on
standalone m/cs.

Modula-2 is somewhat taught in our program verification class, but only
enough to understand the language mechanisms related to program correctness
proofs. Our program verification research deals with this as the programming
language.

Modula-2 was used in Dept. of Computer and Info Science, Indiana University-
Purdue University at Indianapolis for classes
(1) CSCI 461 : Programming Language III
(2) CSCI 503 : Operating Systems
(3) CSCI 660 : Compiler Implementation
since Spring semester, 1983.
It will be used in Dept. of C.S., Indiana University for class
C436 Operating Systems II in Spring Semester, 1984.

there is a professor at Portland Comunnity College that has been teaching
modela-2 for a couple of years using an Apple II implementation. It is
part of a program for software technicians. First year is Pascal, then
second year is modula-2.

I believe SUNY Stonybrook uses Modula 2.
Is Modula 2 available under UNIX?
Please advise on how to get it up on a UNIX-VAX system?
