Dear Folks:
 
 We are currently soliciting bids for the assets of Volition Systems listed
 below.  The Items annotated with "**" after the Item Number are still in use by
 VS and cannot be delivered until such time as the corporation ceases doing any
 business.  The latest date for that will be December 31, 1985.  All other Items
 are available immediately.
 
 Terms of Bids and Sales
 
 All bids are to be submitted in writing to Volition Systems at 4490 Fanuel St
 #208, San Diego CA 92109 within 10 days of this notice.
 Please submit your bids by Item Number.   All bids must be for cash or cash
 equivalent FOB San Diego.  With submission of your bid, should your bid be the
 highest for any items, you agree to pay for any freight or transportation
 charges for delivery to you.  Once you are informed of your winning you must
 within 5 days arrange for payment and  specify how and where you wish any item
 to be delivered or arrange to be picked-up.  Should any winning bidder not
 respond within 5 days of notification, then that bid shall be considered
 invalid and the next winning bid notified. 
 
 ALL ITEMS ARE BEING SOLD "AS IS".   ALL SALES ARE FINAL. 
 
 List of Items:
 
 Computer Equipment
 
 The following computers or peripherals are believed to be in working order:
 
 1. ** IBM PC with 256K RAM, dual 80-track floppies;  Used with Zenith monitor
 and miscellaneous software including MS/DOS 2.0; Volition Systems Modula-2;
 UCSD p-System by NCI;  This IBM hardware configuration currently lists for
 $2,295 without software or monitor.
 
 2. ** Sage IV 68000-based computer with 1M RAM and 12M built-in hard disk;
 
 3.  Freedom 400 terminal labeled to go with item 2 above.
 
 4.  Apple LISA 2/10 (Macintosh XL) with MacWorks and Pascal Development
 software; 1M memory; 10M external Profile Hard Disk;  Currently lists for
 $3995.
 
 5.  Apple 128K Macintosh with external disk drive; MacWrite/MacPaint and
 MIcroSoft MultiPlan;  This configuration currently lists for $2690 without
 software.
 
 6.  Apple Imagewriter printer to work with either Item 4 or 5 above includes 2
 ribbons;  Currently lists for $595.
 
 7.  Scenic 68000-based industrial computer with dual 8" floppies;  
 
 8.  8086/Z80 custom-built Multibus computer.  Built as a development
 environment for any Multibus development boards.  Currently configured with
 Intel 8086 board.
 
 Other Peripherals
 
 9.  Epson MX-80 printer with cable to IBM parallel port and ribbons.
 
 10. ** NEC Spinwriter 3510 letter quality printer with standard and
 bi-directional tractor feed, many thimbles and ribbons.
 
 11.  Heathkit H-19 terminal
 
 12.  Teleray Terminal.
 
 13.  1 Volker-Craig 404 terminal + parts.
 
 14.  1 TI 810 printer.
 
 15.  1 Diablo DTC-300 letter-quality printer.
 
 The following items have the listed known problems: 
 
 16. NCR 9010 with ALP-2 processor board;  Though the unit does operate
 relatively well, it is lacking a serial port card and the display occasionally
 seems "flaky".
 
 17.  Sage II 68000-based computer with 80-track dual floppy and 512K RAM; 
 Comes with UCSD p-System 4.1;  The Sage II has a parity-error in RAM and it is
 believed that replacing the faulty RAM will solve the problem.  The Sage II was
 working perfectly prior to the memory problems.
 
 18.  1 "working" Western Digital Microengine with software, 2-8" drives.
 
 19.  Various Western Digital Microengine boards and computers in unknown
 condition.  Suggested as good source of parts for anyone still using a
 microengine or for other purposes.  8" floppies work.
 
 20.  As many as 750+ used 8" floppies all brands single & double density; 
 Sorry, no software included.
 
 
 Miscellaneous
 
 21.  6 unopened boxes of Dysan 8" single-density 3740 flopppies.
 
 Office Equipment and Fixtures
 
 22. ** Xerox 2830 Marathon Copier;  Latest Model-bought New in Late September
 1984;
 
 23. ** 3 - 4 drawer filing cabinets- good condition
 
 24.  1 5-ft round office table
 
 25. ** 1 two-level computer table (used for IBM PC).
 
 26. ** 1 small, sturdy office table (used for Xerox machine)
 
 27. ** 2 swivel secretary chairs (nice)
 
 28. ** 1 "L" Secretary Desk.
 
 29.  41 plastic Eldon In-baskets
 
 30.  Various Brackets and Shelves;
 
 31.  Miscelleneous Office supplies including staples, tape, post-its; paper-
 legal and business; Volition Systems stationary, envelopes; etc.
 
 32.  Plain folding boxes for shipping 8.5" by 11" documents;
 
 Inventory
 
 33.  Boxes printed for shipping VS products 6" by 9" by 3" approx.
 
 34.  Various Documents quantity unknown until exact time of sale.
 
 35.  Copies of books published by Springer-Verlag:  Programming in Modula-2 by
 N. WIrth and Modula-2 for Pascal Programmers by R. Gleaves.
