Actually the title should read 'preview'. The title is simply 'Modula-2' written by John Beidler and Paul Jackowitz. It is a large paperback with a blue cover displaying cubes in different dimentions. Cost was $20. This is a very good book. first of all, it is aimed for both the sophmore programmer and higher. The descriptions of the syntax of modula-2 are very readable and understandable. Anybody who has some programming background should be able to write Modula-2 programs after studying this book. Also it is a great reference. The index is more than adequate, Wirth's EBNF syntax has been included, as well as having been translated into syntax diagrams. Throughout the book these diagrams are used to illustrate syntax descriptions and have been summarized at the end. The examples are short, demonstrative, very readable, sometimes useful, and usually written in efficient code. The string ADT used as an example for procedures are a complete set of length-byte based string utitlites that I found to be handy for general text manipulation. While this has not been the most informative review, I hope these short obsevations are enough to provoke some curiosity. Modula-2 is great! Any questions...
