Hello, I'm reposting a message I've send before to <INFO-MODULA-2>: There is a (* my oppinion *) good an not to expensive native mode M2 Compiler for VAX/VMS distributed by: Dr. J.W. Schmidt Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universitaet Fachbereich Informatik (CS Dept.) Dantestrasse 9 D-6000 Frankfurt/Main, West-Germany UUCP: something like ....!RBIFFM!SCHMIDT The compiler is free, but there is a $200 handling charge (* I dont't know what they actually do ... *). I think LOGITECH is distributing the same stuff, but for a much higher price. The compiler produces native VAX/VMS object code, which must be linked by the VAX/VMS Linker. The compiler has an language extension called "FOREIGN DEFINITION MODULE" that allows to specify names, parameters AND their calling mechanism (* %VAL, %REF %STDESCR *) for procedures written in ANY Language that conforms to the VAX/VMS object module standards. We are quite happy with the Product and haven't seen serious bugs up to now. The compiler comes with complete sources and binaries.
