Recently, Steve Hand wrote the following note to info-modula-2:

I'd like to reply.  The British Standards Institution has had a Working
Group looking at the standardisation of Modula-2 since November 1984.
The group consists of academics, implementors and users.  Most members are
from the UK but some are from the USA and Switzerland.  We held an open
meeting at Slough in April 1985 and we were represented at the MODUS meeting
at Menlo Park in September 1985.

We will be holding another open meeting in London on 24th July 1986.
A message containing brief details about this meeting was sent to
info-modula-2 on 1st May.  I forgot to include in this message that one of
the morning presentations will be by Sue Eisenbach.  She will discuss the
Working Group's "Input/Output Library".

Articles about the work of the group have/will appear in Issues 3, 4, 5
