[net.lang.mod2] Modula-2 and measurement automation

FYS-TS@FINHUT.BITNET (Tero Siili) (04/25/86)

Has anybody any info on Modula-2 usage in laboratory systems, i.e.
IBM PC - based measurement & control systems? Modula-2/GPIB - interfacing?
Any experience on M2/Fortran subroutines linking for the purpose mentioned
above?

Any literature on measurement automation vs. M2?

Please send your replies directly to

P.S. Anybody having any experience on linking together Professional Fortran
     and Lattice C?

The "Journal of Pascal, Ada, & Modula-2" has an article in the May/June 86
issue -- "Software Engineering in Modula-2: Implementing the GPIB (IEEE 488)
in a Laboratory" by J.L. Marshall and R.D. Goldstein at Worcester College
in England. The work was done on a Sage II, under the UCSD p-System.
