[] While having a discussion with some old friends, the topic of Signe Anderson came up. There were some who avowed that nobody in the general public today would recognize that name. How about it, anybody on the net know who this person of major talent is? -- Michael Ward, NCAR/SCD UUCP: {hplabs,nbires,brl-bmd,seismo,menlo70,stcvax}!hao!ward ARPA: hplabs!hao!ward@Berkeley BELL: 303-497-1252 USPS: POB 3000, Boulder, CO 80307

[]--- Perhaps I should mail this, but I can't resist. The first Jefferson Airplane album, "Jefferson Airplane Takes Off", released Sept. 1966, featured vocalist Signe Anderson. Grace Slick joined the band with the second album "Surrealistic Pillow", and Signe Anderson left. You can verify this from the credits on "The Worst of Jefferson Airplane". It was several years ago that I read an article about her, either in Time, Newsweek, or a Sunday newspaper. -- Bill Swan (..uw-beaver!tikal!persci!bill) Have you hugged your bagpipe today?
