Our Speed Queen washer and drier are both 17 years old, and in their third lives. The latest problem I have had with the washer is that it does not seem to spin the clothes as well as it used to. Several steps I have taken to remedy the situation are: 1. Add fluid to the fluid clutch that effects spinning. 2. Dressed all of the drive belts, especially the spin belt. 3. Raised the agitator on the spindle by about 1/8". The agitator has expanded on the spindle to the point that it barely touches the wash drum. 4. Routed out the centrifugal drain tube on the wash drum. Still, the machine appears to be either spinning too slow, or draining ineffectively. I would appreciate advice from Speed Queen owners who are familiar with the mechanisms in these machines. MEL ihuxn!tfilm
