Help! I spilled some hot tea on the top of an old piano, and the moisture has left a white stain on the finish. Is there any way to repair the damage, or at least make it less visible? Any advice would be appreciated. Andy Behrens UUCP: {decvax, linus, cornell, dalcs}!dartvax!andyb CSNET: andyb@dartmouth ARPA: andyb%dartmouth@csnet-relay

Try "rottenstone" and a damp rag. Rottenstone is an extremely fine abrasive available at most hardware stores. You can also use it to restore a glass-like finish to plastics such as watch crystals. M. S. Simpkins 404-529-0909
