Sears is having a sale on their Woodworking Bench from now to Nov. 17. In the National Hardware (NH) catalog the woodworking bench is cut $130 to $300! I bought one a few months ago at $430 and am pleased with it. At $300, it's a bargin! It's bigger than the comparable foreign benches at the $430 price. It uses dowels and a cross piece for surface clamping rather than steel pegs that the foreign benches use. I've made up a set of alternate function dowels (with tighter fit and different lengths) and have had good results. order info: T 9 NH 10231N 175 lb $299.99 N. Speaking of workbenches, anyone ever see one of the benches from (I think) Arkansas Hardwood as advertised in Fine Woodworking for $97? (But not in this months issue, the only one I have to hand) It comes with no vice, but still sounds too good to be true. -- Berry Kercheval Zehntel Inc. (ihnp4!zehntel!zinfandel!berry) (415)932-6900
