[net.rec.wood] wood finish application

A note here talked about brushing polyurethane. Using the a good bristle
brush was noted as producing the best results.

What about spraying polyurethane? I've had really good results spraying
lacquer and polyurethane. Would brushing really be better? Am I brushing
things on wrong?

I have had good results with a bristle brush applying lacquer and poly-
urethane. I wish I could afford a compressor and air-brush as that would
probably give me even better results with a much reduced application time-
especially for some of the more 'complex' shapes I've made. Does anyone
have tips (or pointers to tips) on achieving the 'perfect' finish?

e-mail to me; I will summarize to the net (given suficient responses)
