After reading through the messages to this group, I think my question is a little below the level of discussion here. However, I have a problem and I hope someone out there can offer a suggestion. I live in an apartment, and my lease expires in 2 months. I would like to recover the entire cleaning deposit. To do so, I must replace a section of wall which I displaced with my fist a couple of weeks ago. The wall is pretty standard - wallboard covered with white paint - but the hole is pretty big. I have a big hand. The old piece of wall is still hanging on, but my experience with the mix-with-water spackle leads me to believe that I will not do a very good job of replacing the hole. In a hardware store I found some other products which looked like they might be better, but I have no previous experience with them and this is pretty much a one-shot deal. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to patch the hole with? Any and all suggestions will be considered. Either send them directly to me or post to this group. Thanks for any help.
