Sounds good.  To avoid the cost of a power saw (unless you plan to make
use of it in the future) and the labor of hand cutting all those boards,
consider getting the lumber yard to cut them to your specs.  They usually
do an excellent job (having access to a huge table saw makes it easy) and
don't usually charge much for doing it (eg: 50 cents a cut seems typical).
It is worth it compared to hand sawing.  The drill is a good idea (they
are not that expensive and will save you much time and pain).  If you can
afford a variable speed drill, then I would recommend getting it, along with
a screwdriver bit (why not go all the way?).  Good luck and happy working.
