I have to disagree.  I do believe that their power tools leave alot to 
be desired, but their handtools (eg: Craftsman hand tools) are very good.
If you break one (which hasn't happened all that often to me) they are very
nice at Sears when you return it.  Just go get another one, come to the 
register, and you're off NO charge.....

Just because Sears replaces a tool when you break it doesn't mean
that Sears tools are good.  It just means that Sears was very successful
in their marketing strategy.  It means that they've got you ( and
a ton of other people ) doing all your hand tool buying at Sears.
I'll admit it, I've used my Sears chisels
for all sorts of things that they were not meant for.  And I've
even returned a few tools when I ruin 'em.   BUT... I would
never let them near a woodworking project.
