I have a (very small) box, the top of which is attached by a dove-tail joint. When I got the box, it required a lot of effort to open - now its almost loose. The more I use the joint, the looser it gets. I liked it better before. Is there some material I can rub in to the wood, to give it a little more substance, and also won't wear away like the wood itself? Is there another solution? This reminds me of wood puzzles. Over time, they get easier and easier to take apart, simply because the joints are looser, and thus easier to find. Is there a way to restore them, without replace an individual piece of wood.
