Face it - most people will buy whatever is cheapest. When I was a student and had a student's income (i.e. negative), I bought a K-mart socket wrench set (3/8" 40-piece SAE & metric) for $5 (it was on sale). I "knew" about how more expensive tools could be better in the long run, but I couldn't resist - it came with a lifetime guarantee. Anyway, the socket driver broke last week (after 6 years) - I stopped by the nearest K-mart and picked up a new one. Since they no longer make the one that came with the set I got, they gave me one that was nicer (a $16 job) than the original, no questions asked. I don't usually brag about K-mart, but occasionally they do have worthwhile sales! Don Libes {seismo,umcp-cs}!nbs-amrf!libes
