While driving in to work today I heard a story on the radio about chemical wastes generated in the home. This got me thinking about the way I dispose of stains, paints, and solvents. I must admit, the way I get rid of them now is to throw them in the garbage. (No flames please, it wouldn't be nice to yell at someone who is asking for help to change his ways) What do you other people out in net land do to safely dispose of these chemicals? Is there someplace to take them? Thanks in advance Dave Van Ess John Fluke Mfg Co Everett WA

Check with a local school or a local woodworker. Everyone that I talked to was willing to take my toxic waste since the volume was small. The effort required to dispose of my waste was very small. I suggest that all woodworkers do their little bit and dispose of stain, paint, and other stuff properly. -- ---------------- Marty Sasaki net: sasaki@harvard.{arpa,uucp} Havard University Science Center phone: 617-495-1270 One Oxford Street Cambridge, MA 02138
