There was a letter in Money magazine that I thought you would enjoy. A sales manager wanted to know about job opportunities in Australia because he wanted to move there. He wanted to know how to get Australian classifieds in this country. Money told him where to find them, but gave him some information he probably didn't want. Australia limits immigration and will only issue working visas to individuals in professions that are in demand. Which professions are these? Engineering and computer science, of course! Wouldn't be a bad place to live, except you'd never see your family again. 24 hours seems like an awful long time to sit on a plane. Incidentally, I heard that Australia is one of the few places in the world where US citizens can go to enjoy a better standard of living(Switzerland is probably another, but who can afford to live in Switzerland except the Swiss).
