Listen, fellow readers of 'net.motss', the flame/information ratio in this group is getting pretty high, enough to be obnoxious. I would like to publically support J.R. Carbin's recommendations that religious wars be kept to private mail, or at least to 'net.religion'. I would find few responses more eloquent than public silence to the most recent tablets handed down from Mt. St. Helens by Mr. Johnson at Fluke. Can we please let public discussion of this issue die? It goes nowhere, engenders ill will all around, and tries peoples' patience. It will come up again and again to be sure, and it will demand the same restraint each time. The same problem was rampant in 'net.women' about abortion until the group put its foot down. I would like to see the same consensus here. If another one of these guys tries to impose his myopic vision of salvation upon the members, by all means blast 'im, but do it in private.
